Default Poll for those with a Mantis or 1st-gen gauge pod....

Do you have a boost gauge in it? If so, is it easy enough to read? Any regrets? What other gauge do you have along with boost?

Default That's what I'm wondering....

But, after the novelty of having a gauge wears off, how often would I really need to look at it, other than when making adjustments with sps3 etc.? I don't think I want to give up a vent, or go with the A-pillar mount.

Default Look on your sticker on your door, if you were manufactured before 7-2001, you have one more option

It's expensive as gauge mods go, but you can get the center display in your dash to read a multitude of things. Look up the gauge mods page on BlackFnTTruck's links page it's in there. It's schweet. I missed it by a month, or I would be saving up for it! It's around $500 for the equpiment.

I'll check it out, but build date was 6/2002, iirc.

Default No good down low...>>

Consider a dash pod if you don't like A-pillar or Vent options. YOu could mount a Gauge pod n a V4 Gadgett as an option:

Default You know, I was thinking of the V4 as an option....

...just need to find a way to conceal the wires, etc. I was also trying to think of a way to do a surface mount gauge on the dash, next to the cluster, with some kind of housing that looks like it is blended into the dash, like the vent ducts. I need to do some 3D drawings of that.

Default Agree with all below>>>

boost needs to be higher, and closer to your line of site....
My Mantis has a oil temp and A/F gauge in it....

here is a nite shot with the boost gauge in the left middle vent, flows lots of air still! ;-)
