Electrical Gremlins resulting from Dead Battery
I have a silly short commute to a new job. It's EXACTLY one mile each way. Obviously I'm not charging my batttery enough between starts so it's died a couple times. I get no warning, it just dies.
Now. my windows do not drop down the inch when opening the doors or the top and my interior alarm switch does not function. (no red light on/off).
My alarm goes off ALL the time if I don't turn off the interior monitoring, so I have to leave it unlocked now. :-(
Any ideas why this happened and how to fix?
TIA
If its OEM...or a few yrs old, it may just be time to replace it...and your 1 mile commute may have hastened it's death...
Test it with a voltmeter...anything less than 12.3 volts....and its time to get a new one..IMO
I will replace with an Optima when I need a new one.. I just need alarm and windows reset.
I wish I'd gotten the Optima.

Put a voltmeter (not your dash one) on the terminals after sitting overnight. If below 12.2V, you NEED one..
