The best summary of the USGP debacle that I have read.
From what Stoddie wrote, Max, and Todt should both resign. I, while not a Bernie fan, appologize for placing blame on him for the events. It does seem that he was trying to keep the best interests of the USGP, it's fans and F1 at the fore over the past werekend. He still needs to appologize for the idiotic comments he made regarding Danica and women in general on Saturday. I think that he was trying to make a joke, but wake up Bernie! It is 2005, not 1955! Still pissed, in shock, ect over the events of the past weekend. thanks for the link, great read. Stoddard is right on -- so sad ...
... I also read that the Bridgestone cars were going to be allowed to the front of the grid. I think Michelin and the "seven teams" made every possible concession in trying to at least put on a show without taking undo risk. Forfeit championship points, grid position, and get a chicane -- is this unreasonable? I feel awful for the fans who paid (travel, hotel, tix), and for the sport we all love(d).

I agree. Stoddie had everything to gain, and he still tried to do the right thing.
It was a shame, but I am still a fan. Max's jackass moves are not going to turn me off on the sport, just his leadership of it. I already did not like him because of all of the stupid changes that they have and are going to impliment. With all the money the FIA has, you would think that Max could buy a clue!

At least they sacked up and admitted the tires were faulty.
That had to be a hard and humbling thing to admit. They clearly had alot to do with the events of the past weekend, but once the problem was recognized and acknowledged, accomodations should have been made to facilitate a full field race.
