Why would an '02 225 TT have low oil light come on repeatedly?

Default Why would an '02 225 TT have low oil light come on repeatedly?
A friend of mine has a TT and she says that she keeps getting the low oil light after only a couple thousand miles. She took it in to the dealer and they said that that's normal. Doesn't sound right to me. Any ideas?

Default Apparently the car is low on oil after 2,000 miles.
The friend has to learn to check oil often, and keep it topped up.

Default is it actually low on oil?
If so she probably has a bad pcv valve. if it's not actually low on oil, she needs to replace her coolant temp sensor.
