That Evo / STI / M3 challenge is near....I feel it. I hope.
Gotta know..... Many with bigger turbo kits already attest to beating these cars.

This morning, on the way to KMD for my "high test" fuel, I managed to bait an R32. Those cars are sweet....luv their looks. I played a bit...without showing my hand. Then he pulls into the right lane (we're on the GS Pkway) and hits it. I drop to a leasurely 5th gear and absolutely blow his doors off. Later, getting off the GSP my car's EPC light comes on and power shuts down. Turn it off, turn it in....all OK. "Exceeded torque limit" Sweet.

Having an adjustable cam gear installed this week along with exhaust temp gauge. Gear should bring cam in a little lower in rpm.....perhaps adding a couple hp / ftlbs arount the 3,500rpm mark

You need to have Hans write that Tq exeeded code out of your life.

That was the code and symtom I was experiencing just before my MAF went D.O.A.

I had the EPC light just prior to MAF....this MAF is very new.....I keep 2 spares

Default Nice things is all the warning stuff is functional...as oppossed to a stand alone system&

I'd rather get shut down early than have the system miss something that could break the car

Default EPC light just prior to MAF

I don't understand the relationship of the MAF to EPC but my car was also throwing the same over torque code then the motor whould shut off, the car would fire right up after I shut off key and restart. I could even do this at speed. This problem got slowly worse, until dealer replaced MAF then it never happened again.
Granted I'm not running a BIG turbo but I'm pushing a KO4 about as far as it will go. (see Picture post)

Default yea...maybe the MAF is going..these are the things >>>

that have been occuring throughout the past year....MAF's, coils, plugs. Could be this "new" MAF isn't holding up. I have another to put in if the symptom continues.

Got a full tank of 101....tonight will be good and cold. I'll test 'er tonight

Default what are you paying for 100 at pump? >>

Guy in NNJ at ~$6.00 now. Cheaper form me to buy very high octane and do 50/50 mix for 101 result
