Default DV relo, first step, with parts from Mike, on going project..............

Here are all the parts:

For now all I did was replace the passenger side hose, boring, I know.

This is the PITA clamp:

<img src="http://images15.fotki.com/v232/photos/6/645139/2927227/rightichose003-vi.jpg">

I was able to get it off by using a small rachet and a screw driver, to keep the clamp tight and the rachet, racheting:

Hose out and photo of old and new SFS, is this new hose too short?

<img src="http://images15.fotki.com/v232/photos/6/645139/2927227/rightichose014-vi.jpg">

Or too long?

<img src="http://images15.fotki.com/v231/photos/6/645139/2927227/rightichose015-vi.jpg">

After a test fit and measuring, I used Mike's clamp method and cut this much off:

<img src="http://images12.fotki.com/v252/photos/6/645139/2927227/rightichose017-vi.jpg">

New hose in:

The only thing I don't like is the length of the bolt left, maybe these clamps are too big?
How tight should these T-Bolt clamps be? Is it feel or is there a specific spec to tighten these?

Default Well, you really won't like the length of bolt left on the Throttle Body connection... The

292 clamps are just a tad short, and the next size it 317 (3.17 inches). That one you have to crank down until there are almost no threads left for the nut. I am thinking I will hack the end off of mine... It is not too hard to orient the excess bolt length to an harmless orientation, though.

Default Thanks, Mike. Is there a specific tension that these should be clamped to? The......

parts are great, thanks for all your research.

Default Tighten them more than Dano did at TT-Midwest!.....>>

Necessitating the infamous roadside repair. They should be fairly snug....Enough that they will not slide over the flange on the hard side when tightened...It's hard to get a good feel for these unfortunately.

Default OK, thanks, I can definately see that the top one is pressed below the outside flange......

so it should be good, hard to see the lower one since I didn't remove the bumper but I can feel the end and it is thicker than where the clamp is. Thanks.

Eventually they'll let you know if you didn't tighten them enough, one by one. Trust me, I know.

I try to hide the bolt ends where I can. If not, then slip a piece if color matched SVH over the end
