ECS TUNING pain in the ****

Got my ecs tuning stage 1r installed about a week ago or so. They send no instructions no torque specs. The carriers they sent were messed up and Griffin Motorwerke had to re machine them and extend my parking brake cable. Then to make matters worse driving today I hit the brakes and here a horrble metal on metal noise. It looks like the caliper just fell off onto the rotor and is just resting on there.

The torque specs you can retrieve from the manual...

as for the carriers, you have to make sure to use the washers. And, lastly, the parking brake...you didn't need to extend it. There is a grommet that is trimmed which gives you the slack you needed.

Unfortunately, ECS doesn't tell you these tips. Griffen may have inadvertently messed up you carriers! They didn't need to be remachined.

I installed and uninstalled (to sell) them myself, as well as helped several others with them. If they didn't know the "tips," installation appeared much more difficult than it needed to be.
