Default Slight Mod to the Mod...................

Never liked the large portion of bolt left after tightening the T-Bolts, shown here. They are beautiful but come in only so many sizes.

So a little cutting, grinding and sanding made the excess bolt disappear. Really thought Stainless was harder to cut. You can also see the clamp is behind the front flange by the slight buldge, shown here.

Default Looks good!

Only one slight potential issue. If you ever removed the nut, I don't think you will be able to get it started again. It needs "some" excess length to get a slack start, and then it can be tightened up. So, did you leave enough bolt that it can catch the threads when removed?

A safe way to do this would be to tighten the clamp, then loosen it until it is just loose enough to be able to rotate and slide the clamp. Then cut the bolt flush with the nut at that point.

Default Yup, I cut it while it was off the car, so it went on after it was cut............

Just needed a couple of threads to get it started.

Default Excellent! I think I will do the same, once I move back in to a house... I think my modding ways

will be curtailed for a few months...

I'm sure you have plenty to do with the move, good luck with everything.
