Default Speaking of timing belts, water pumps, etc...

Just to confirm, is the first kit on this page what is needed for a 2002 225 1.8T?

Also, how difficult is this to perform? I am fairly well mechnically inclined, but generally leave the more complex things to a mechanic. I'll provide lots of beer and food if someone is willing to help.

Finally, would this kit also fix the idler pully squeal that comes on when the AC unit is on?

http://www.dieselgeek.com/18belts.php

Yes, correct. If you need a new serp idler pulley, order separately-- it's not in this kit.

It's a pretty complex job. I would pay to have it done.

I will come do it. I have never done one and I am not a mechanic but I would love to try to do yours before tackling mine in another 20,000 miles.

Default I keep hearing>>>

that it's not a terribly difficult job - provided that you have the right tools of course. But it takes a long time...which I'm sure you're already aware of. What a help I am...ha!

And I forget who, but a month or two ago someone posted a good "how to" on the TB job. Seemed like a good write up!
