Problem litany. It started with a limp mode two weeks ago, then I got a CEL Saturday morning

I cleared that and pulled the codes Sunday two 17536 (lean limit exceeded)and one 18010 (low voltage). Today it went into limp mode again driving home. The lean condition confuses me a little because I've always had a fair amount of carbon on my exhaust tips and on the valence. I would have thought that would indicate rich. My fuel economy has dropped recently also, not sure if it's related. In all the car has been running great, except for the limp modes...

I ordered a reman'd MAF from ECS this evening and I'm looking into batteries. Am I on the right track?

it doesn't seem to be too loud when casually driving around, and it sounds

great when I'm "less judicious" with the gas pedal ;-)

it sounds like the same prob that I had a month ago.

maf was the cause. I had the fuel consumption symptom.

FYI: the price of MAFs at audi dealers in the area is +/-$2 of ECS prices

Audi sells the reman MAF's? Pity it's such a pain to get to my audi dealer during the week.

Had exact same codes when boost machine added. Reman MAF fixed it. Got them blades painted yet?

No, haven't painted the blades yet. It's a little too cold to do that outside and I don't

like doing that kind of thing inside.

yeah, part number is the same w/ and "x" added.

my MAF cost about 67bucks at Criswell in Annapolis.
most service/parts centers are open until noon on saturdays.
