Stealership only replaced timing belt and not tensioner. My car is at the local tuner's shop
[(Chris Green at Unforgettable Sounds & Performance) --he is awesome--] getting fan replaced, thermostat and water pump. Besides timing tensioner what else do I need to replace?

Do I need some or all these parts? They all have the word tensioner so I'm not sure which one to get. I did a search but no part #'s listed.
Besides, I don't think Smitty's uses Audi parts #'s. Thanks in advance!

Sorry I can't help you but I am very glad to hear your car is in the hands of someone competent

 

I think the ECS stuff would be cheaper as a kit. I've used TB stuff on 3 of family Audis and Passat

 

not true. i buy the parts separately for the same or less from sasponline.com and/or autohausaz.com

Relay roller is incl. with the damper. The gasket is not part of this job... for the cam chain.

the letter "m" on this keyboard needs a hit from a hammer to display. Makes me look like I speak engrish sometimes.

The tuner is really good though... he bailed me out so many times especially with the suspension mod with torque specs being way off.
I'm surprised my wheel thing fly off before getting to his shop when I put the coilovers on.

I need air tools :|

When the time comes, I'll also look into using a TDi tensioner, which is spring loaded.<ul><li><a href="http://www.pdperformance.com/m-tensioner_level2.htm">PD performance conversion kit.</a></li></ul>
