I've got the 789.......>
And a few have the 889. I went for the 789 because of the higher voltage (5V) pre-outs that drive the stock Bose amp very nicely.. Compare the specs, the better unit was only a few bucks more..If you want a dizzying array of soundstage tunability go for the 889

With Bose?....Just one, but..>>
You still won't be able to fade the stock Bose amp even when hooking up both F & R pre-outs...
Plug the adapter RCA's into the HU and your good to go..

Vortex Joe just did his Project TT Audio install...>>
And he used an Ipod adapter. If you want to control it, you need the outboard piece. If you just want to feed audio, the 789 etc has an Aux in which you can select on the HU..

huh?
that should be FR, FL, RR, RL. So that would mean 2 sets of preouts would be needed to get 4 channels of sound. if it only needs 2 channels of sound, which I suspect may be the case, then only one set of preouts would be necessary.
