Watching a DVD of the Gumball Rally 3000 from 2002...Couple of TTs in there....
One is a coupe that has like 9 radios, scanners, jammers, etc..driven by a man/woman team....woman got pulled over 3 or 4 times and taken to jail once. Ferrari F50 got clocked doing 197.....Damn! Showed a close up of a 2 week old Ferrari that the front had been completely pepperd by road pebbles and such. Looked like it had been sandblasted. Guy said that when he gets it back to England, he'll have the whole front resprayed. Two guys in a blue RS4 from Europe got pulled over 5 times in one day.....
This is crazy....fun to watch though.

Some of 'em get beat up pretty good though.....
one M coupe got sideswiped by a 18 wheeler...an RS4 lost a wheel on the highway, not to mention windshield cracks, peppered front facias, etc.

Yep, so the one where the RS4 lost a wheel, also saw one where the guy put in diesel instead of petr
The cars do get a beating, but I guess anyone who can afford this kinda car in the first place, plus the crazy fee to participate in Gumball plus the shipping of the car --- can afford to pay for the issues resulting because of the ralley. I prefer watching it on video
