Tool Time: Engine support bar...>>
With (2) TB replacements coming up in the spring (TT and Wife's CRV) I started accumulating some tools for the job. Having a lift makes everything easier, but it also means you can't support the engine with a Jack when the motor mount comes off and still be able to move the car up and down for easier access. Answer is the transverse engine support bar. These aren't real expensive ($86) and should make life easier now and in the future when clutch time rolls around. This thing was a little more massive than I expected (50 lbs) but with free shipping from Tooltopia, going for the big mama made sense for a few $$ more..
