OMG how do you get the grille out of the bumper?

I've succeeded in breaking off most of the tabs and it just will not come out of the hole. Am I missing something? I've got a new 3-bar grille ready to install and I'm contemplating cutting the old one out... it's starting to **** me off.

Just push hard! Cheeseheads was the same way when we did it

jammed in there, but some good old fashoned mid-western cow tipping strength and pop it went

You know you can install a new grille without removing the front bumper

If you really don't care about destroying the stock grille a sawzall (or dremel) would make quick work of the stock grille and I think you'd be able to remove it in pieces and get the new one in.
