Default my checking engine oil level light is on i need you guys help plzzz

my engine oil level light went on yesterday and i added oil in right the way .but the light is still on .i also check the Dipstick,it is showing proper oil level.i need help ...how to turn it off???

Default Sometimes a bad Coolant temp sensor...>>>

will cause the oil light to illuminate...(Really)

Default Not sure - but would that go on if you were overfilled?

Similar problem here, might just change out the oil level sensor?

Default Well I am pretty sure that the

coolant sensor was changed out 6 months ago - but ever since I had the accident the oil light keeps coming on whenever it feels like.

I always stop and check my oil now but every time it is full already - can it be over-filled? Would that make the light go on again?

Default Probably damaged the level sensor in the pan...>

Overfilling should not make the light come on..though low pressure may...

Low oil PRESSURE could also be causing the light.....

I would get a gauge on that car ASAP and see what's going on with the pressure..
