Default Replacing the Brakes....>

I will be replacing the brake Rotors, Pads, Lines and fluid. I also will be painting the calipers.

Does anyone recommend any certain order to this. I was planing on taking everything off getting the calipers off and painted. Then installing the new lines, rotors, pads and new fluid.

Any suggestions.
Oh should I use some lithium grease for the caliper pistons? Or should they be good to go after cleaning them well. I will be using PBR ceramic pads by the way.

Default no clue on the brake system but I do know how to get perfect calipers.

With the calipers off we took HEAVY duty scotch brite pads and roughed the surface. The first coat was red high temp engine paint. We applied several coats and then cooked the paint in a heat booth.

we then took a lite duty scotch pad and hit the surface of the red (this is when to apply the audi rings) and applied several coats of clear high temp paint.

I have taken a pressure washer to these things and they still look brand new

Default I used the G21 paint system, painted the fronts off the car (stainless lines also) and the rears

on the car. They look about the same. I liked being able to diassemble and clean the fronts off the car. The rears are much simpler and workout just fine on the car. You also won't need to remove the rears to install the stainless lines.

PBR ceramics aren't bad, definately less dust. We'll see what happens to them on April at VIR.

Default good write up...>?

Thanks for the reply. So one question. After your final coat of red, you used a fine scotch pad and lightly scratched the surface. Then shot it with clear. So, no scratches were seen after you shot the clear?
