Default The Aftermath... (a few pics)

Here is the scene in North Stamford area CT. We had about 25inches or so total in 18 hours.
This was the view into the backyard during the height of the blizzard
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/89080/pict0217.jpg">

And this is a shot of my TT on packed snow in the driveway
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/89080/pict0224.jpg">

And this is my other car, useless right now <img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/89080/pict0227.jpg">

Our TT got my wife to the train station just fine this morning.. meanwhile I'm hearing and seeing a lot of spinning tires in the neighborhood.

Default Growing up my parents always had NH plates since my Dad was in the US Air Force...

...and we moved about every 2 years on average. His parents lived in NH. Sure made us stick out as "damn Yankees" when we lived in Alabama.

mine is a 1980 grey market 635csi... was never EPA Federalized (no cat, ***** in German, Euro bumpers, Euro tuned motor, dogleg 5 speed)it is based off the E12 platform, not the E24 like the American 6ers were. I'm screwed because I cannot register it here in CT unlike Columbus Oh (no emissions test there. And it is rusting in all the usual places, will probably part it out when the weather turns warmer.

Default NH is a cheapy state like WA - only a few bucks a year to register...

I lived in several towns in Fairfield county in the 80's and 90's and each town has it's own mil rate. Cars are eligible for property tax. So, in 1994 I was paying several hundred bucks every 18 months for my 1981 Bonneville. Taxes were so high in Brisgeport that you had to factor in the monthly tax amortization to see if you could even afford to run a car. I can't even imagine how much a TT would cost to register, let alone the Phaeton!

Having said that, I don't generally agree with the WA policy either as it only speeds up the inevitable need to inflict state income tax here.
