Default More q's on the wheel spacers

Ok I know that I need 12mm in the front & 20mm in the rear. I also know that I have Flik artic wheels 18x8.5 with 35mm offset. My issues now are, the 12mm H&R spacer says it wont work with most after market wheels. Is this true? If so, which spacer should I go with?

Also, with the spacers mentioned, which lug bolts should I use? I dont have the car accessible at the moment to measure the current lug bolts & I know that if I did have the measurement, I would just add on the 20mm to that for the rear & 12mm or whatever I go with for the front.

TIA! I need to get the car back up and running asap, as my other car is out of commish at the moment as well!

Default H&R makes 2 styles of spacers. You might have the chamfer style...>>

Most OEM and BBS use this style. The style you want is the straight. ECS has them.

As for the bolts, most aftermarket wheels use taper or conical bolt. OEM uses a ball type.

Add the spacer size to your existing bolt and you should be ok.

Example: if bolt is 28mm , add 20mm for spacer for total of 48mm.

Hope this helps

I have the ECS 12.5mm spacers for the front and 25mm H&R for the rear.

I'm 7.5" so the 20mm on the rear should fit nicely.

Default I used 35mm lugs with my 12mm spacers on a Flik wheel, I had to use a large belt grinder to make

the hub centric wheel adaptor fit correctly. Basically I had to grind the adaptor much thinner and take the little lip off. I still have both of the ground adaptors, one on my work benchand one on my car. I could send you the one adaptor and you could send me a unharmed adaptor, then I could send you the second adaptor. Or in the end you could give up and put 15mm spacers on your car. OF course I've got 17x7 wheels, so I need more spacer (kind of, actually the wheel width doesn matter, because any wheel width holds the tire centered at the specifid offset from center, so it's actually your TIRE width that will affect how flush your wheels look) The lug bolts that Edge racing supplied with the Flik artic wheel had 23mm of thread, so just add the width of the spacer to that. And make sure you get cone lug bolts. I started with 12/20 and ended up with 15/25.

Default ahh I am gonna hafta measure those lugs....

I was planning on using the ECS spacers as there flat & dont have that conical lip. I think that should fix the compatability issue. so your thinking if I go with 12.5mm and 17.mm on the 8.5" rim I will be not out far enuff? one of my main reasons for the spacers if for more clearance with my KW v2 coilover in the front. I figure I might as well make it look the best if I need them anyways.
