Could be worse, but now Audi is on the same playing field, I think they are in for a rude awakening
when they realize that they don't have quite as huge of a cult following as they think they do. I know my father (very long time Audi fan) said that his A8 will be the last Audi he buys. Honestly this would be a MAJOR + to go to BMW when I decide on a new car. 330xi or M3 might be in the future rather then an A4 or S4. Too bad too, was nice to have all the tools I need already

that is a major loss- i think
free service is something expected when you buy a luxury car, especially something like the A8. dropping this service makes Audi look cheap and is only going to give them a more negative customer service reputation. i thought it was bad when mercedes did it, now Audi has done it and BMW and Lexus are ahead in that area. Audi should really reconsider this mistake.
