Spoiler install help
I have a 3.2 spoiler that I'm going to install, its already painted and has the add on attached.
Is this a hard job? I took a look at the hatch, I didn't see any screws and I don't want to snap anything... I'm guessing the spoiler is held on by 3 or 4 bolts behind all the hatch plastic... but getting there is the issue.
I posted this on VWvortex, but no one really said anything...

It's basically a PITA...here's how....>>
It is held on with 4 bolts. You must drop the hatch liner to get to them. After these are off, you have to get through the gorilla glue they use in addition to the studs. This involves literally sawing the spoiler of the car with piano wire or fishing line. There are also positioning Pins that you have to work around....You tape up the deck to protect the paint, start sawing at one end and use a wedge to prop the loosened end up so you can feed the wire through after the positioning stud (hole in the pic below). All those black areas that look like foam are actually the glue.....It is really tough stuff too.... Figure a few hours start to finish.
