now that our Mk I cars are about to become classics . . . what OE parts should we stockpile ?
In the interest of future preservation and authenticity, I think it's things that are hard to duplicate, like:
gas filler assemblies
headlights
coupe rear hatch floor panels
vent assemblies
interior doors, panels and *****
MAFs
radiators
stock intercoolers
I'll let the experts figure out which other engine/mechanical parts to include.
All you TT parts suppliers - are you listening ?

I am about to finalize my contract to purchase...

If all goes as planned, by the time the second generation TT hits showroom floors in North America, I will have cornered the global market for 1.8L timing belts. I anybody, anywhere needs a timing belt, they'll have to come to me.
Group buy, anyone?
Oh yeah, I suppose I should mention this to the A4, Golf, Jetta, Passat and GTI guys too.</font>
