n75->wastegate hose: how do you reach the wastegate side of this hose?

n75->wastegate hose: how do you reach the wastegate side of this hose?
per the recommendations of a few people on here, i tried checking the hoses from the n75 today, but i wasn't able to really access the wastegate side of this hose.
people posted in the past that the code i'm getting (17743 - Engine Torque Monitor 2: Control Limit Exceeded) was a result of a cracked hose, but i didn't find much on how people were able to determine that the hose was cracked.

is it possible to reach that spot from the side of the motor
rather than from the top? given the orientation of the turbo (or at least how i'm picturing it in my head), it might be possible, right?
Powdercoating it also? or just an old pic?
