oh dear - I missed my chance for a Mk I
called the dealer up today (in Singapore) to check pricing for TTs. Nope, there are none, all sold out, no more coming in until the MkII is released at the end of the year. I didn't realize audi was shutting off the supply so soon. Guess I'll have to wait and see when it arrives here and at what cost ... shame, I preferred the old gas cap too.
