Even though I took plenty of pics of the new TT, I am not going to post them as there is nothing new to show, you've seen it all. I was not able to sit in it as it was off limits on a rotating stand, but I did score a brochure and an official TT press kit after schmoozing one of the Audi reps.

The car is way more impressive in person than in any pics, casual or professional. From the front dead on and in front 3/4 view, it really looks like a mini Nuvolari and actually looks better IMO. I really did not find the proportions to be that odd, the overhangs too extreme or the overall dimensions too big. It sits very handsomely. The rear is rather curvaceous and it will take some getting used to, but it works for the overall design and I can live with it. I like it... I like it a lot! And the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. This car is <u>still</u> an Audi TT and this car is <u>still</u> unlike any other car I saw at the show... past, present or future.

The new TT did speak to me as I sat there watching it slowly rotate on the stand and it said:

"I have listened to what you want, I have grown up and I have evolved. Please embrace me with the love, passion and enthusiasm as you have given my older sibling and give me a chance to prove myself. I will deliver."

Like it or not and time will tell, but I believe that Audi may have given us the car that we all have been asking for. I can't wait to drive it!

 

TT: It's about freakin time you polished off that overspray and touched up those paint chips. I was beginning to feel left out since the Finnish girly car got here..

Boxster: Say fella...That Polish job felt good. Keep ignoring that hulk from Hungary. You know who makes you feel good!

CRV: Fer Christ's sake, when are you gonna get to my timing belt? I'm 200 miles shy of 100K! I do all the work and the pretty cars get the attention...Is it because I'm red?.....Jeeze.

Peter! You're still around, still driving the TT ... some things never change (in a GOOD way!).

Just popped on to check out who's saying what, etc. Yeah, we got the itch again too ... just ordered a totally optioned-out Cayman!

Yep, still have a TT (2nd one) and likely will be buying it at lease end later this year. The new TT will not be out in time for a new lease plus I want to wait a year or so to see what further variations will come out. It is also my philosophy to never buy the first of anything so that they can get it right, be it coffee or cars.

The Cayman is awesome! Best of luck with it and I hope that we'll see you around again soon.
