Default After cussing up a storm and spewing venom on the aftermarket sales crowd, I decided to do some

reading. After APR chip upgrade, I did not have the normal reaction or results. My car ran like crap. Acceleration could be measured with a sun dial. I was passed by a Toyota Tercel. Oh, the Humanity!!!

New MAF and DV, and it was better, then not, then better, then not. Based on a review of the available data and information, I think my N75 may be going south... in a hurry.

Is inconsistent performance a symptom of a flagging N75?

Thanks all.

Default Sounds like a problem with the APR software...>>

Was the car running fine before? If so, the software could be the problem.

If not, then you could have a leak in the system.

Default When I had a bad N75, symptoms (erractic boost, pulsing at highway speeds) were gradual

and often intermittent. I tend to agree with Robert though, if she was running OK before the software change and crappy thereafter, I would really look to APR to explain.

First step is a boost gauge, I think. The N75 diagnosis is in part from APR.

Default I'm having issues with my APR as well..

Original flash was 93/100 maps.. This created a mysterious slot 3 which was apprently stock. APR had no clue why it was there.. Car did fine for a week.. then zero power. No codes.. Reflashed with same 93/100.. the next week.. same thing. Posted some logs on here, no issues found and no codes. Dealer couldn't find a darn thing wrong with the car. Yet another flash, this time stock/93. Car runs good for a week, less than optimum mpg with soot on the exhaust tips. This weekend, back to making the "weird" sound under boost, no codes, no power. Sent a PM to APR on vortex.. NADA. I'll try my local dealer one more time. Funny how I can switch back to stock map and INSTANTLY get my mpg back. Try 27-28 average to 33-34! Swapped out the second oem DV for my forge DVR and new clamps. I'll see if that did anything.

I have found that removing both battery terminals then resetting everything via vagcom helps. The whole "open door/key on" TB adjustment does NOT work with my '03 BEA and APR.

During the intital trial flash, this car was quick. After the programming it was the same until this mysterious noise started. The noise does go away after APR reflashes!

We'll see if they step up to the plate and help.

Robert
