Do HID bulbs loose effectiveness...
Their 85122WX (nee' Ultinon) is rated at 5800K (usually marketed as 6000K), produces less light (2400 vs. 3200 lumens) and is not legal for street use in the US or Europe.

you might lose a lil bit of 'light' but not a whole lot.....i mean you see a much greater lost when going from regular halogen blubs to those super white halogen bulbs.....but not much with going to a whiter HID bulbs....i guess its the amt of power HID uses
but i know if you go with 8000-8500k you WILL lose a lot more light
and that's why i went with 6500k
