Default Quick personal update on me :)

I GOT A JOB!

Yay

I will be a salesperson for a company called Everdry (everdry.com) and the specialize in waterproofing, as well as breathing better in your home, so if any of you have leaks in your basements, let me know!

So, it was not all great today, after I got the job, I was so totally happy, but, and there is a really bad, BAD but, on the way there, I took the TT today because it was sooooooo nice outside, I smelled gas. Yeppers, thats right, another fuel leak, I have fixed a few of these issues on the TT already and now there is another. So I decided that I was going to bring down to Al @ CPT and have him make sure everything is fixed, and also give it a once over because I am going on a trip to TT-west next month, and the thing dies - GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Ran out of gas

I was so bummed, here I just got this new job, enjoying my car, and kaput!

So there I am just off the expressway, almost blocking the toll (the interview was in Downers Grove, I live in Elgin, and I was heading to CPT in Melrose Park) and waiting for this tow truck for almost 2 hours, get it back to CPT and rent a car so I can get back home ($25 a day rent-a-car is much better than a $75 taxi ride)

Here I am now at home, starting to do some homework of sorts and looking forward to the future.

I have to say, Life sure is a roller-coaster and I am so HAPPY to be alive, even though some things get tough, it sure is fun to ride those corners!

Thanks again to EVERYONE, whether you posted, emailed me or whatever, EVERYONE's support REALLY matters, You guys ROCK

Default Good to hear, hope the car issue turns out small

And I hope your new job opportunity is better than the time I got conned in to being a Kirby salesman. ;-)

Default ha, I got duped into one of those interviews in college!

I got up and walked out in the middle of it. One of their selling points for the job was "One of our 19 year old sales people sold enough to buy himself a new Camaro!" I think it was the first time I was angered by a job interview!

Default LOL, I think I lasted about 2 weeks

It was during a "break" from college and was living at home and had to get my Mom off my back. I sold one to my Grandma and that was it.

Default LOL, she was a long-time Kirby owner and used the opportunity to get a new one

Kicker is about a month after I quit she decided to buy 3 more for gifts and she bought them from the guy who was training me. Bet he loved that, I did all the work, got screwed on the commission on the one she did buy because I was still a trainee and then he gets 3 more sales.
