I just read about the new Mazdaspeed 3 that is coming out soon,

Supposedly it will have 250+hp and ~280ft-lbs. In a car that weights 2800lbs!! Anyone else seen the pics. Might be my new stalemate/beater or possible replacement. Only thing is that it will be FWD but it will have a LSD plus a 6-speed manual. Plenty of pics in the link. Nice engine on that..

It looks like the same engine as the MazdaSpeed 6.. direct injection 2.3 turbo. Nice car but cannot compare to the TT. the Mazda 3 is based on their econobox model.

it's really a hell of a car. The Mazdaspeed version will be high on my list when it gets here.

I used to have a Protege 5

I modded it lightly with the Mazdaspeed muffler, Tien springs, Kartboy shortshifter/****/bushing, AEM intake and Mazdaspeed Protege rims. It was really fun to drive and solid. I never had any problems with it at all. Could have used more motor, but looks like the turbo takes care of that.
