MKI TT 6 speed conversion to DSG?

Does anyone know if it's possible to convert a 2000 Model MKI TTQ225 which has a 6 speed manual gearbox to DSG.

If so what components apart from the gearbox (obviously

need replacing or re-working?

You're probably wondering WHY? .......(my wife doesn't drive a manual)

have not seen anyone bolt a DSG to the 1.8t....>>>

not that it cannot be done...but it would be costly, i am sure....you might be better off getting a CPO'd 3.2...imo

Already have the TTQ225 (MTM chipped @ 265hp+) has only 13,500 miles on odometer and I'm reluctant to sell it.

It's an Aussie model, I actually purchased one of the first TTQ225s delivered to Australia in December 1999 and to me in 2000. (Still have the original MKI suspension etc...)

I think my wife's conversion to manual may end up being more expensive than the DSG conversion! LOL!
