No issues with the install. Very easy. Only somewhat hard part was swapping the 3-bar for 4-bar FPR. I must've had to soak up all the fuel in the fuel rail to empty the cup before I could install the 4-bar. I managed to reuse the hose clamp.

Seat of pants feel - as one would expect/hope there seems to be an increase of available power/torque across the range. It's more noticeable in the 3000-4000 rpm range. I can jump from say 60 to 80 mph very quickly with just a light touch of the gas. Very useful on the highway and for passing. Not that much additional from a stand still but then I'm usually very conservative in the stoplight launching dept.
I drove about 60-70 miles with the 4-bar FPR in before I "hammered" it. A third gear pull and I was greeted with stuttering/surging at around 4500 rpm. I've driven another 100 or so miles but have not had a chance to try it again. Problem may still be there. I got some sort of lambda sensor fault on the VAG-COM. Cleared it. Block 32 adaption was at 0%. I'll try another hard run again tonight and pull codes. No problems in just normal driving.
Of course my avg. MPG and miles till empty on the cluster was all messed up. I'm trying 110 in the channel 3 adaption for now.

I'm on my second MAF. I had the original replaced on the recall about 18 months ago or so. I haven't noticed any issues with it before. I did some logging of the MAF #s post Samco install and they looked OK. I also have a VW MAF P/N: 06A906461A that I could try just to see.
