Default No more TT roadster (sigh), but found an ALMS... is this a good price?

Had to leave the Desert Green TT-R in Hawaii, sad to say.

But... found an Avus Silver ALMS with 48K miles here on the Mainland. Higher mileage than I'd like, but it's in very, very good shape for its age.

Dealer asking starts at $27K. Is this about right for dealer price? It's CPO'd for 2 years and up to 100K.

What's it worth at 48K miles?

Quick replies a bonus... I'm at the DP (decision point)...thanks!

Default Thought so too.

If it had 20K miles, maybe there's some bargaining room at that starting price. But at 48K, not such a deal.

Default Excellent forensic skills!

Yeah, at University. They got it at auction, I'm told, so there's no personal history, which disappoints me.

It's in fine cosmetic, orginal body condition. Interior is more worn than I ever allowed my TT-R to become, but not bad.

It just feels a little... loose to drive. Not bad, just not tight and new.

Default Washington. And I'd get to pay reg tax for our defunct Monorail extension project!

It seems like the price any dealer would ask. Whether I want to pay it is based on my gut instinct about how many ALMS cars come up for sale, and their average mileage. I think a lot of them are like yours, coming for sale at lower than 48K.

It's just hard to forget that I had my TT-R from new. This one's not bad at all, but it's not crispy-fresh. Very, very nice, though... and I'm sold on the idea that the ALMS is the way I want to go if I get another TT.

Not for ALMS, especially if it is silver. That is what dealers charge for CPO ALMS.

Default Probably worth it if thats what you really want but

Considering you can get a 225HP Coupe for under $20k it still seems steep for me. I would prefer saving $7-9k or more, forget about the ALMS and CPO and score up the Stage 3.

Lots of options out there, this one just seems like the most expensive one.
