Tried search on this. Temp gauge all the way to H. A/C turns off then back on.. pump or sensor?

Tried search on this. Temp gauge all the way to H. A/C turns off then back on.. pump or sensor?

Temp sensor goes all the way to H. The A/C stops working then turns back on after a few min but the gauge cluster still shows H. Now is this the temp sensor, water pump, fan? I checked the fan and it is on when the car is overheating. What else could be wrong?

Yes...

pumps (at least the original plastic impeller ones) and sensors are both common failure items. Try the sensor first (do a search), they're cheap (~$5) and easily done.

is coolant pumping back into the resevoir?

if you rev the engine does coolant return back into the resevoir? If not then your water pump is shot. In the meantime if you still have a black engine coolant temp sensor then replace with a new green one.
