Hot weather = sway bar bushing noise. How exactly do I grease them?
<center><img src="http://www.clearpaintguard.com/audi/swaybush.JPG"></center><p>Its been hot and my front sway bars are creaking very loud. Last time I just silicone sprayed it but that only lasted a few days. I want to use grease this time. Where exactly do grease it? Do I have to remove the silver bolt that holds this swaybar in place to properly lube it? Also I still dont understand why it creaks. is it the rubber separating from the sway bar bushing that causes the noise?

For that reason I installed grease fittings.............
Now I just connect my grease gun and inject a little white lithium.

it's not the bushing it's the plastic sleeve between the bushing and the bar...
the only way to fix that is to get the updated bar from the dealer or buy powerflex bushings and break the plastic sleeve off the bar. I did the latter, then the dealer replaced my bar against my wishes, then I reinstalled the powerflex bushings. They have never squeaked. The original bar with plastic sleeves was horrid.

Here's your problem....>
Plastic sleeve slipping on the bar. Audi replaced a ton of these under warranty. Best bet is to buy the 20mm powerflex bushings, knock the sleeves off and grease with a good synthetic..
