Some areas require you to actually stretch the film while squeegeeing.

Here is the whole kit installed. hood, fender, bumpers. You can barely see the
line of the film:

I just had the bottom front bumper piece taken off today and will get it replaced. Like paint, the film will crack if the front end bumps or is bumped by something. More easily replaced than the paint though!
There has been a *very* slight yellowing effect of the film. Not sure if it's the film or the way it looks on the paint, but it's negligible enough to be *far* outweighed by the benefits that it provides. I'm getting mine redone asap.
FWIW, I had "custom" 1 cm strips applied to the leading edge of the hood and the roof in front. These were inexpensive, aren't as noticeable as the wider sections usually applied in those areas, and work very well.
After driving through several bug hatches in the spring, it was easy to see where things hit the car. Getting the front bumper kit plus the edges above has worked out very well.

But then, looking at your car, you are probably 300% more meticulous about details. VERY nice.
