1500 miles until service.
I got in, turned the key, it said it for about 2 seconds and then it went away...
I have 41000 miles on her... what exactly does "service" include?
-clueless.
What does this service include? At the time he sold me the car all services had been done.
(I don't think the haldex fluid was changed)
Let me know what needs to be done...
Plugs
Oil & filter
Brake fluid flush
Haldex oil and filter
Cabin filter
Air filter
And a bunch of checks to name just a few
at the very least OIL CHANGE, CHANGE THE SPARK PLUGS and FILTERS!
I saved my *** off for this car, I took it to audi to have it checked over and they RAVED about the condition and told me I'd be silly not to buy it.
Oil is a given I'll change that. I changed the oil the day I got it, that way I knew it was done and when to do it next.
Spark plugs, easy. I can get that done.
Vag scan... not sure what that involves, or where to do it... I'm guessing I should just take it to audi and get that done.
On average how much does the 40k service cost?

What else will be needed, I have a friend with vag com and I can have him do a scan to make sure all is well.
I'm reading $600 for the 40k service, and thats stupid. I can do all this myself for like $100 dollars. All I'm "worried" about is the vagscan.
I may sound like a total moron guys, but I'm really not. ha... I bought the car because I fell in love with it and all my pals with the 1.8t jettas/gti's pushed me to do it, saying that fixing them was easy and there wasn't much to worry about.
So, 3 months in I have a bad clutch and a 40k service.
UGH. One step at a time.
I'm off to pick up some plugs. Wish me luck. The pollen filter can wait until I start sneezin.

I'll change the oil in 600 miles when its due. And I'll get the Haldex done as soon as I can, because I don't think its been done.
