AMU vs. BEA Engines
Anyone know differences between these two 225 hp engine codes. For some reason I thought my 2003 coupe was a 'AMU', but looking at the right front corner of the engine its pretty obvious it is 'BEA'

AMU is the early 225 - non VVT BEA is LATE 02 and on with VVT...
aside from some changes to accommodate the variable valve timing stuff - different vacuum hose configuration, different MAF etc. it BEA also has a EGT sensor in the turbo and some other minor changes. Most all changes were emmissions related.
