Big mods & 1/4 mile performance>>
Why do I say this?
A couple of weeks ago while swearing my car wasn't running right I had a temper tantrum. Oh yea...actually she was running fine....just forgot that ya need rpm for power. I was demanding too much at 3,000 (where I make little over 100hp!).
The temper tantrum consisted of several high rpm abusive launches most of which ended with a bog down. One, however launched the car so fast that a pen, jammed between the windsheild and dashboard came flying up and out so fast and hard that it cracked me in the head! All from the acceleration.
So.... the moral (other than "watch your temper!")is that these cars can move in a big hurry IF you know how to drive the 1/4mile.
As for my next hole shoot........forget it! I'll watch my temper
I think it is a sporty GT car. It is a beautiful design and fun to drive.
It is not a sports car in the sense that a Porsche 911 or Porsche Boxster are.
I like my TT for what it is, and I don't try to make it become something it is not and cannot be... ;-)
Personally...neither car fits into 1/4 mile arena. They are way too costly to fix. For the 1/4..I'd rather have a live axle Mustang...big slicks and a motor on steriods
