Custom exhaust question.
I want to sum up and make a good call here pretty soon.
First with some questions...
*After the cat, what is the best diameter piping to go with.
*Is there a way to do the duals without having a T in the exhaust (I've heard T's are bad news, they slow down the flow, correct me if I'm wrong)
*If I were to go with the most used size (2.5 or 3 inch I'm assuming, we will see the consensus once this thread has a little exposure) what can expect to hear everyday when I'm drving, will it be insaaanely loud, or just loud under acceleration?
*Would the use of an aftermarket resonator be a good idea to chill the flow down a little?
*Can I use my stock tips?
I put custom 2.75 inch piping on my Triumph TR6, headers straight straight into a flowmaster 40 series muffler. It was simple, one pipe to mess with and a muffler.
Here I'm dealing with duals and the unknown land of turbo cars... so I need your help!
Thanks again guys. I'm learning ALOT here.

I had my cat-back system on the car for a couple weeks w/o a resonator, and honestly it was far too loud for me. Consequently, I added a fairly small resonator, which has helped a lot. I might change that resonator out for something a bit bigger to further dampen the sound a bit, but we'll see how it goes...
My current setup is pretty loud when accelerating but isn't all that loud when just cruising, although certain RPMs can be a bit annoying with the windows up.
You could use your stock tips, but bigger tips look much nicer :-)
i hope that helps a bit.
So, I do a y pipe, and go with 3 inch pipe.
Would this be a good choice for a car with the GIAC 91 program?
I will pretty much be stock except for suspension/brake mods. The 91 program would be the only thing to increase engine performance.
Yay or nay on the 3 inch.
Which sounds better, that's what I'm most concerned with.

Only damage is to the center pipe that got kinked a bit and the bottom of one tip got a little scraped.
Would make an excellent system to work from.
