Default Just installed a boost gauge yesterday and noticed that under accelration..

When the needle is going from vacuum to boost, it flickers back down suddenly from 0 back to vacuum then up to boost. Is this normal? Could there be a problem with the DV? I'm using a Forge 007P with a green spring right now. TIA!

Normal process variation. Get in it, get on it and go.

Do you also feel the car hesitate or is it only the gage? I got this after Revo install

I would recommend that you carry out the leak back test , just to see if all is ok.

1.Simply push/displace the bottom piston up to the top of the valve either using
your finger a pen or a suitable implement, whilst doing this cover the top small vacuum nipple
with your index finger.

2.Leaving your finger covering the vac nipple , remove the pen , the piston may drop approx 5mm but should then
stay held to the top by vacuum ,

3. You should now see through the bottom port that the piston is held/drawn to the top of the valve .

4.Next remove your finger from the vac nipple the piston should return to its seat , repeat this several times, if the is no gradual
leak back all is fine , just pop the valve back on the car

5 If however the piston creeps back down we need to send you the service
kit .

If it fails, email or call me and I will get you a rebuild kit asap.

Default can't you guys take over Audi's service department?

I'm just very impressed with your service. It really is a pleasure to see this kind of support on a $150 part and I can only wish that Audi offered same on an "item" they sell for 300 times the money.
