Local dealer tried to screw me over today, but fixes it in the end
I called them up today to schedule a 20,000 oil change/maintenance. They told me it would be 270 and to come on in at 2. I show up at two, the guy has no record of me calling really, but he takes down my info and I go sit down in the waiting room. About 15-20 minutes after I sat down the guy comes in and tells me it will be $600. I was like whoa, that wasn't what I was quoted earlier, so we both go to his computer. He pulls up a list of just random stuff and has no clue what it all is. Then the manager comes over and wastes about 15 more minutes, finally printing out a list of everything needing to be done after I told them it was an oil change and the Haldex fluid. Finally, he puts it together and for the service I orginally scheduled it would be 140. Then I wanted to add brake fluid and pollen filter because it has been awhile according to their records. So with those two things it would be right at 300, but would take 2.5hrs so I tell them I will do the brake fluid myself. So finally, at 3pm they take my car back to start all of this. Around 3:30 the guy comes out and tells me that they have a problem and that they don't have the haldex filter and they will have to bring me back in for that another time. I was like that is fine. I had asked him about the codes for the windows and door locks so you can roll the windows down with the keyless entry and so the door locks would engage after driving and he quoted me $75-$100. Since they didn't have the filter, they did both for free. I had to waste over 2 hrs there, but I didn't get screwed over on the money at least.
