Morning Rant....Ticketmaster.....
Bought tickets for the Black Crowes this morning and once again I f'in hate ticketmaster, amazing how they turn a $20 ticket into $35 each with their convenience fees and parking assistance fees. Personally I find it more convenient to spend $12 on beer rather than donating to ticketmaster and I appreciate that many people are rubbish at it but I do not want to pay $3 to be assisted to park. It is an example of how f'd up the world is when a company that has an internet page to sell the tix probably makes more money than the band does from each ticket. Back in the day you'd go to a shop, buy your ticket for the price it said on it and that would be that. It's interesting that if I try and sell a $20 ticket for $35 it would be illegal.....If they called it a "$15 We're a bunch of scalping profit grabbing A-holes fee", I would feel much happier paying it, it's the whole convenience and assistance thing that irks me. OK enough ranting, back to Tuesday.
