Default Battery install took a bit longer than expected...

Couldn't find the Optima with reversed polarity at Autozone or Advanced Auto, so went to Sears (they didn't have the Optima either) and purchased a DieHard.

22833347 DieHard International BCI Group: 47 OEM Amps, 480 CCA

Thought it would be an easy pull and drop; turned out that in addition to the std 10mm socket, you need a 13mm to release the battery from the bottom. Also the DieHard is a tad bit shorter than the OEM so I had to notch out the battery holder on the +ve side with a cutting wheel on a dremel.

Default You were lucky depending on the model of the holder you could have needed more dremeling

Several holders have notches in the bottom that don'e match the bottom of most batteries. Seems Audi changed this part frequently, even during a model year so there is no way to find out what you need to do before pulling the battery.
