Default Learning the German way of coding engines

I've had my newly acquired 2000 Audi TTQ 180hp coupe for a few months now and am in the process of getting an APR chip to start off the modifications. I am trying to learn and memorize all the Audi/VW engine codes because it is like a new language to me coming from Jap engine codes. According to http://www.audigeeks.com/forums/index.php?topic=635.0, I have one of the following engines:

2000-2002 TT 1.8L Turbo DOHC I-4 (180hp): ATC
2000 Only TT 1.8L Turbo DOHC I-4 (180hp): ATW

Is there a placard on the car somewhere or an easy way to tell which engine I have in my TT? In addition, could anyone point me to some good websites that describe cross over parts from other Audi/VW motors/cars that work on the TT? Thanks in advance.

Default There is a tag on the front of the engine near the TB cover. Take off the main cover and you

should see a stamp on the block. A 2000 180HP should be an ATC, or at least mine is.

Never heard of ATWs on US models, and some 01s and the 02s should be AWP.
