Default Door Latch issue

Drivers door indicated as OPEN all the time - widow won't close completely....search indicates the most common cause as the Door Latch.....Can I change this myself?????

Also - Would this cause the clock, and Trip odometer to reset??? (started happenning at the same time)

It might be possible to fix the switch, but you are gonna need to disassemble it.
