New to Audi, a few semi-noob-like questions.
I just recently purchased a 2003 Audi TT Quattro Coupe. It has around 70,000 miles on it so I went ahead and put it in for service at the Audi dealership. I had all the fluids replaced and everything cleaned out and the timing belt. A week later the gas indicator died on me leaving me to believe the car was at half a tank when it was aparently empty. Now it is back in the shop getting a new instrument cluster.
Is there anything that you guys know of that could be a potential costly problem in the future that I should go ahead and check on while it's in there? I'm trying to avoid having to keep taking it back. I've had the car for 3 weeks and it's already been in there 3 times, first time was for the turn signals not working and a strange rattling sound from the A/C. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
I've been fortunate with mine.. 2000 Coupe with no major mechanical problems. When I first picked it up used from the dealer it had a bad AC compressor which they replaced N/C.
Other than that the only things I have had to replace are the O2 sensors, a MAF, the lateral ABS sensor and a few coilpacks. None of these are what I would call major problems, just annoyances.
I seem to have an problem with the cd player, the volume turns itself down at random. A new unit from the dealer is in the ballpark of $300, which I imagine would be better spent on something nicer from the aftermarket world. So my question is this, does anyone know of a cd player that will fit without interfering with the TT cover plate?
PS - I hate tow hooks already, my car aparently didn't have one in the alotted spot. Four hours to locate one and get it back to the car ><

I do take pride in detailing the car and keeping everything looking beautiful, but I am by no means a weekend warrior mechanic. I just take everything back to the dealership and pray they don't shaft me too hard ><
