Best way to boost octane?

Besides the hard to find 100 octane fuel pump at some obscure gas station in Timbuctoo... what is the best additive, booster or alternative way to Boost the fuel??

Your car is designed to run on 91, You're not chipped or turbo'd...soooo...>>

Why? You won't have the programming to take advantage of it. You may feel a very small gain for a big increase in $$ per gallon.

Thanks Steve... so if I GIAC chip it, then I will notice it more? Also, I want to do the Schwing stage#3 Mod too but so afraid of voiding warranty. Which fuel booster do you recommend?

Sometimes you can find higher octane at different stations....

For example, a Holiday station about 2 miles from me sells 93 octane gas, while every other station within about an hour radius sells 92 octane. And the price is nearly identical. And yes, the difference between 92 and 93 is a big deal. Think about it like this.... even if you mix a GALLON of 104+ octane booster with 15 gallons of 92 octane, your final octane rating is still just 92.75. [ (92*15 + 104*1)/16 ] .... and a gallon of 104+ booster would cost almost as much as a tank of gas.

You're only gonna notice 100 octane if GIAC has a program selection to benefit from it. Otherwise it will be a waste of money and time. The car will compensate up slightly (timing advance) to deal with better octane but those corrections are relatively narrow. The only Modshack stuff that works with your car is my Airboxes. Stage 2 and 3 are for the 1.8T's.....Sorry!

There are plenty of reviews on the web about boosters...basically they don't work.

Unless you use them in large quantities. If you can't get 100 at the pump from your local track, then you can purchase 5 gal quantities from your local speed shop.
