I am getting this stupid incorr. secondary air code and after a reset, it popped up in a couple mins after a cold start-and-go. Yes, I did a search and checked the neighborhood of combi valve for leaks but couldn't find any, everything seems to be holding tight. couldn't get the pump itself yet. I have a boost gauge (already installed when I got the car) and I wonder if this gauge can help me diagnose the prob. the vacuum is stable at 17-18inHg after idle is stabilized around 720-730rpm. It jumps around till idle rpm stabilizes tough. is this vac level normal?
this happened only a few days after the TB change at the stealership so any chance that the stelaers messed up the vac somehow?
the car is an APR chipped 2001 TTQC by the way.
and --how do I get a hold of the octane number of the chip?
thanks in advance
I'll have the VAG-COM soon, could it help me figure out if the sec air pump is dying or not?
or the only way to find that out is to wait and see?
yea I can check if the pump works noisy or not but how much noise is noisy?
