Recently purchased 05.5 A4 3.2Q, considering trade in for CPO 225 TT
Hi all,
I didn't think I'd ever want to, but after driving a TT at Streets of Tomorrow a few weeks back, I've been in pure TT lust. My deal is as follows: I was initially in the market for a 2.0T A3 in October, and basically got a deal of $400 over invoice. I walked on to the lot to pick it up, and I saw a nearly loaded 05.5 A4 3.2Q that I could have bought for 5k more than the A3, and 7k off msrp. I finally conceded to give up the dsg, since this was going to be my daily driver, and settled on the A4. Now, after much much research and frustration that I can't mod anything on my A4, I'm leaning back towards a hatchback, but this time the TT. From what I've read, the TT isn't so bad as a daily driver. From my perspective, the 225 is moddable, and the particular CPO I'm looking at already comes w/the 7 spoke 18's, so that's just one less costly mod for my A4...
Does anyone have any input or sound advice for me? I've got approx. 29k left on the car, I think trade in would be around 32k, and the TT is currently listed at 34,995, but I'm thinking they'll knock a few grand off for the long weekend, and I could negotiate it down a bit more. In the perfect situation, I drive in w/an A4, drive off w/a TT and not pay a cent more.
