Because TT-East is the rain event, not TT-West...
We passed through a quick 5 minute downpour driving into Telluride last Saturday, but that pretty much was the extent of the rain for the event.
Oh yeah, there was also a quick hail storm after Telluride that panicked a few TT'ers, but no damage. No pics of that.
